Terms and Conditions

1. About Mezanu

Mezanu is a Habesha marketplace and cultural commerce platform offering ready products, custom Habesha dresses, gift delivery (Gursha / Send Gift Home), wedding & Melse services, consultations, and related services.

2. Use of the website

By using the website, you agree to these terms. You must use the website lawfully and must not abuse, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of it.

3. Account registration

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for activity on your account. Please provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

4. Product information

We try to show products accurately. Handmade and artisanal products may show small natural variations in color, fabric, or embroidery — these are part of their character and are not defects.

5. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in the displayed currency at checkout. Prices may change, but confirmed orders keep the price you paid.

6. Payment

Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. Mezanu does not store full card numbers. An order is confirmed only after successful payment.

7. Orders

After you place an order, you receive a confirmation by email. Mezanu may cancel and refund an order in case of stock, pricing, or fraud problems.

8. Custom orders

Custom orders are made specially for you. You must confirm measurements, design details, color, fabric, and special notes carefully. Once production starts, cancellation or changes may not be possible. Progress may be shared via the Trust Timeline and proof photos.

9. Measurements and customer responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of measurements you submit (including Measurement Passport profiles you create for others). If measurements you provided are wrong, correction or alteration costs may be charged to you.

10. Vendor/tailor products

Some products are sold and produced by independent vendors or tailors. Mezanu coordinates the order, communication, quality steps, and support.

11. Delivery

Delivery is governed by the Delivery Policy. International orders may be subject to customs duties or import fees payable by the customer unless stated otherwise at checkout.

12. Returns and refunds

Returns are governed by the Returns & Refunds policy, including the 30-day return period for ready-to-wear items and the special rules for custom-made products.

13. Rewards and coins

Reward coins are store credit only. They have no cash value, cannot be paid out in money, and may be adjusted in case of abuse, fraud, refunds, or technical error.

14. Gursha / Send Gift Home

Gursha lets you pay for a gift delivered to a recipient via a vendor or local partner. You must provide accurate recipient details. Proof of delivery may be provided where available.

15. Wedding & Melse services

Group orders, family measurement links, and event planning support are provided as described on the website. Event deadlines depend on confirmed measurements and production timelines.

16. Consultations

Style consultations are advisory. Any prices, timelines, or recommendations given during a consultation become binding only when confirmed in an actual order.

17. User uploaded content

You keep ownership of photos and content you upload, but you grant Mezanu permission to use them to process your order (for example sharing an inspiration photo with the tailor). You must not upload unlawful content or content you have no right to use.

18. Community photos and reviews

By submitting photos or reviews to community features, you allow Mezanu to display them on the platform. Mezanu may moderate or remove content that violates these terms.

19. Intellectual property

The Mezanu name, design, and website content belong to Mezanu or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

20. Privacy and cookies

Personal data is handled according to the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

21. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Mezanu is not liable for indirect damages, carrier delays outside our control, or problems caused by inaccurate information provided by the customer. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

22. Customer support and complaints

You can reach support through the Help Center or contact page. Every request gets a support ID for follow-up. EU customers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.

23. Changes to terms

Mezanu may update these terms. The current version and its last-updated date are always shown on this page.

24. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by French law and applicable EU consumer law. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
